Dr. Husam Rahmeh – Consultant Orthopedic Trauma and Sports Medicine Surgeon

Dr. Husam Rahmeh joins Ain Al Khaleej Hospital as a Consultant in Orthopedic Trauma and Sports Medicine Surgery. He is an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon with nearly three decades of distinguished clinical, academic, and leadership experience across Europe and the Middle East.

He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Debrecen, Hungary (1995), followed by certification from the Hungarian Board of Traumatology (2002) and the Hungarian Board of Orthopaedics (2009). In 2007, he completed an elite Fellowship in Knee Surgery & Sports Medicine under the world-renowned surgeon Dr. J. Richard Steadman in Vail, Colorado, USA—one of the most prestigious training programs in sports medicine.

Throughout his career, Dr. Rahmeh has held multiple senior consultant, departmental, and strategic leadership roles, including:

• Chair of the Trauma and Emergency Institute, Al Ain Hospital

• Chief of Orthopedics, Al Ain Hospital

• Head of Orthopedic Integration between Tawam and Al Ain Hospitals

• Consultant positions at leading hospitals in Hungary and the UAE, including Semmelweis University, Uzsoki Hospital, and Burjeel Royal Hospital

A respected educator and global contributor to orthopedic science, Dr. Rahmeh has been an invited speaker at more than 50 international conferences, presenting on advanced trauma management, cartilage repair, minimally invasive techniques, foot and ankle surgery, pelvic and acetabular trauma, and sports medicine innovations. His work has been showcased at EFORT, SICOT, ESTES, and multiple regional and European orthopedic congresses.

He is a certified provider and instructor in ATLS, BLS, and ACLS, and an active faculty member for AO courses. Additionally, he has served on numerous hospital committees—including Credentialing & Privileging, Ethics, Medical Executive, and Morbidity & Mortality—reflecting his commitment to excellence, safety, and clinical governance.
