Dr. Mohamed Al-Bashir – Consultant in General and Breast Surgery

Dr. Mohamed Al-Bashir obtained his medical degree from Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, New York, in 1996. He completed his residency training in General Surgery at the same institution in 2001. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery since 2002 and was recertified in 2011.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS), and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. Al-Bashir is a co-founder and former Director of the Breast Care Center and the General Surgery Residency Program at Tawam Hospital. He also served as Site Director of the General Surgery Residency Program at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey and was an Assistant Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

He has authored numerous publications and has presented at several national and international conferences.

Dr. Al-Bashir has extensive expertise in:

• Breast surgery for benign and malignant conditions

• Cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery

• General surgical procedures, including laparoscopic cholecystectomy and hernia repair

• Surgical education and residency training program development
