Introduction

Dr. Hani Al-Jarim – Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology

Dr. Hani Al-Jarim graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, and obtained his Doctorate in Otorhinolaryngology from the same university. He also earned a Doctorate in Science from France and an AFSA (Advanced Studies in Otorhinolaryngology) degree from the University of Marseille, France.

Dr. Hani is a professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Alexandria University, with numerous publications in scientific journals.

He has over 20 years of experience in ear surgeries, including:

• Cochlear implantation surgery

• Tympanoplasty

• Reconstructive middle and outer ear surgeries for congenital deformities

• Ventilation tube insertion

He is also highly experienced in facial nerve surgeries, including:

• Facial nerve decompression

• Facial nerve dissection and grafting

• Endoscopic sinus surgery

• Snoring and sleep apnea surgery

• Microlaryngeal surgery

• General otorhinolaryngological surgeries, including tonsillectomy, adenectomy, and septoplasty.

He participates annually in teaching and training students in the Ear and Nerve Surgery course organized by Professor Oosterikers at the University of Paris, France. He also conducts the Temporal Bone Anatomy course and the Academic Otology course at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Al-Hawari Hospital, Arab Medical Sciences University, Benghazi, Libya.

Dr. Hani is a reviewer for the European Archives of Otorhinolaryngology and has also edited several medical books.
